This paper presents the reliability and performance assessment of articulated dump trucks (ADT) by using Weibull distribution as well as the determination of the lifetime component. The inspection for heavy duty equipment, which operates in coal mining is of particular interest. The main focus of this research is on assessing ADT’s component technical conditions, which is usually performed based on a fixed periodical basis. The sample of 32 ADT units at one of the coal sites in North Borneo is used as a reference with respect to the database of the spare part replacement collected during 2 years (2015-2017). The analysis shows that the critical components have been successfully identified. In addition, the lifetime of such component have also been predicted.
