Over the past few years, Organometal halide perovskites have drawn enormous research interest due to its excellent performance in the area of solution processed solar cells. Herein, we have studied the effect of plasmonic silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) in the performance of “inverted” air processed planar perovskite solar cell. Ag NPs containing solution was mixed with PEDOT:PSS hole transport layer and spin coated on a patterned FTO glass substrate. Compared to conventional device, Ag doped PEDOT:PSS perovskite solar cells show improved performance due to the enhanced light harvesting and photo generated carrier transport by plasmonic NPs. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of air processed device with Ag NPs was 5.58 % with a fill factor 45 %, while for pristine device it is 4.17 % with a fill factor 34%.
