Cells of different age isolated from the primary barley leaf, grown seven days at 24°C, for 6 hours were subjected to low (4°C) and high (37°C) temperatures. It was shown that short-term temperature stress caused different antioxidant reactions in dividing, elongating and mature leaf cells.
