The stoichiometric nanocrystalline copper doped ZnS films have been synthesized by the chemical bath deposition method. The structural and optical characteristics have been studied using various techniques. The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that two phases of ZnS, hexagonal and cubic, are formed. The effect of dopant content on the morphology and photoluminescence properties of ZnS:Cu thin films has been studied.
