Currently, iodine-containing compounds are used as x-ray contrast agents. Their significant drawback is the negative impact on the organs and systems of the human body. In this study, a new radiopaque agent, YTaO4 nanoparticles in a suspension of silicon dimethylglycerolate was investigated on three types of animals: outbred white mice, Wistar white rats, and Chinchilla rabbits. According to the results of toxicometry, observational data for the entire experimental period after a single and 30-day administration of the suspension, this new radiopaque substance can be attributed to class IV, almost non-toxic medicinal substances. The obtained results of studies of the radiopaque substance YTaO4 nanoparticles in suspension through various routes of administration confirmed. Its safety in the experimental conditions and sufficient X-ray contrast in subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
