The conversion of propane and butane into aromatic hydrocarbons over a ZSM-5 galloaluminosilicate catalyst modified by platinum is studied. A microstructure and composition of Pt-containing galloaluminosilicates are investigated via high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and X-ray characteristic radiation spectroscopy. It is found out that the modification of the galloaluminosilicate with platinum results in a significant increase in its activity and selectivity for aromatic hydrocarbons at the initial temperatures of the conversion of propane or butane.
