The present work aims a study of the room-temperature evolution of soft mode components (E(1TO) and A(TO)) via Raman spectroscopy in superlattices with BaTiO3/(Ba, Sr)TiO3 composition. The quantitative information on the soft modes has been obtained through the computer modeling of Raman spectra using the relaxator and oscillator profiles and has been compared with data simulated with a Lorentz function. As found, the soft modes undergo the abrupt transformation at varying stoichiometry in (Ba, Sr)TiO3 layers, which is attributed to noticeable structural modifications and alterations in physical and electric properties in this type of perovskite structures.
