The aim of this research paper is to study the mechanical properties of coir reinforced foam concrete which is cured for 7 days. The coir in the form of strands is added to concrete, with varying weight percentage. A comparison is made between the plain foam concrete and foam coir concrete based on their mechanical properties. Compression, Impact, Hardness, Water absorption, and Thermo gravimetric analysis are carried out on 150x150x150 mm cubes according to ASTM standards. Thermal and Mechanical properties are analyzed on foam Coir concrete and 10% improvement is observed when compared to conventional Foam concrete.
