Heterogeneous evaluations in the uncertain decision making process are inevitable due to decision makers’ differing background, such as preferences, knowledge, expertise and experience level. One form of heterogeneity in evaluation is the mixture of type of scales used. Scales such as crisp, intervals, fuzzy set and rough set are commonly utilized. Heterogeneity in the scales makes the evaluation more complex and difficult and a uniformization process is required. The concept of G-number has been introduced as an approach to cater this problem by transforming all scales into a single representation that consists of centre, radius and area parameters. This paper proposes an evaluation process based on the PROMETHEE II method using G-numbers known as G-PROMETHEE II for solving uncertain decision making problems. The feasibility of the application of G-PROMETHEE II is demonstrated by a case study of credit card selection.
