Using the two-point method for lossy dielectrics; we determined the dielectric constant (ε′) and dielectric loss (ε″) of concentrated solutions of different weight fractions of N,N-dimethylformamide in various non-polar solvents at 9.1GHz frequency at room temperature. The permittivity at optical frequency (ε = nD2) was taken as square of refractive index, which was measured by Abbe’s refractometer for the same solutions at room temperature. By using above dielectric parameters, microwave absorption behavior of N,N-dimethylformamide in various non-polar solvents has been investigated.
