A survey on the level of anxiety on Mathematics had been done among first year Engineering Technology undergraduates’ students in Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). This survey used Abbreviated Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale (A-MARS) adjusted to suit with Malaysia’s education environment. Due to the adjustment of A-MARS, the reliability test was conducted in order to check the instrument was not affected. The reliability test result was in between the acceptance level of reliability. Then, the study proceeded to study the anxiety level of the first year Engineering Technology undergraduates. The study was run to compare the anxiety level among the respondents based on gender, race, and higher education entrance qualification. By using measurement of central tendency, the levels of anxiety among all respondents were moderate. The result from the survey indicated that female undergraduates had a higher level of anxiety compared to male undergraduates. Meanwhile, there was a slightly different anxiety level between races. Lastly, higher education entrance qualification did differentiate the anxiety level among undergraduate students where those who was from Polytechnic had a higher level of anxiety comparing to the others.
