Article describes complementary XRD, TEM and TGA studies of carbon nanotube raw soot that allowed us to determine the basic impurities contained in the samples. The XRD studies of the sample, which was annealed in air atmosphere up to the certain reference temperature, revealed the origin of the tripping points at the TGA curve and the oxidation sequence of the different phases that were presented in the initial sample.
