The Half Life of $193Os$ β‐decay

In this work, the half life of the $β−$ decay of $193Os$ was measured by following the activity of 25 5 mg $192Os$‐enriched samples for 20–60 h after they were irradiated in the IEA‐R1 reactor of IPEN‐CNEN/SP. Three different transitions associated with this β decay were analyzed, and the results were then processed using three different statistical methods; the resulting values were compatible with the tabulated value, with an uncertainty of the same order of magnitude.
