Breakup and Elastic Scattering in the $9Be + 144Sm$ system at near barrier energies

Breakup and elastic scattering in the $Be + 144Sm$ system, at near barrier energies, are investigated. We calculate theoretically the non‐capture breakup cross section by performing coupled reaction channel calculations. The energy dependence of the optical potential does not show the usual threshold anomaly found in tightly bound systems.
