Invariant Subalgebras of Ghost Systems

This note is an expository account of recent results due to the author on the structure of invariant subalgebras of ghost systems under reductive group actions. Our main result is that these vertex algebras are strongly finitely generated. The $W1+∞$ algebra plays a fundamental role in their structure.
