Gravitational Approaches to the Dark Matter Problem

The aim of this manuscript is to present a brief summary of the most important approaches to the dark matter problem from the perspective of the gravitational physics. Among these approaches we point out mainly those that propose an exotic candidate to be the dark matter and those that generalize the General Relativity theory.
