A light rod with a small heavy ball attached to the top is placed on the floor and held in a vertical position. A small “stopper” is attached to the floor next to the bottom end of the rod. After the rod is released, it begins to “fall” down as shown. Find the angle that the ball’s velocity makes with the horizontal at the moment it strikes the floor.
