The beginning of a new publication year is a good time to reflect on where we are and how we got here. When AstroNotes was rebooted in 2014, I had in mind that I did not want to “break” anything so to speak, but at the same time I hoped to provide a platform for some new ideas. I additionally wanted to appeal to physics teachers looking for ways to show the connections, both obvious and subtle, between physics and its subspecialty, astronomy. As the person charged with editing AstroNotes for the past six years, my biased opinion is that we met all of those goals to one extent or the other. However, the ultimate judge is you, our readers.
