Joseph Kozminski received a Homer L. Dodge Citation for Distinguished Service to AAPT during the 2017 Summer Meeting in Cincinnati, OH. Kozminski is professor and chair, Department of Physics, Lewis University, Romeoville, IL. Kozminski earned his BS in physics and mathematics at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, and his MS and PhD in physics from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI.
He began his teaching career as a teaching assistant and research assistant at Michigan State University. In 2005 he served as adjunct professor at Triton College. He joined the faculty of Lewis University later that year and has continued to teach and lead the physics department.
