Last month we used the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded per fulltime equivalent (FTE) faculty member to examine PhD-granting physics departments. The Statistical Research Center has recently published a new report that provides these data for all departments that offer bachelor’s degrees. This graph shows the average number of degrees by FTE faculty for physics departments that do not offer any graduate degrees. Similar data are provided for departments that offer graduate degrees and for astronomy departments The report is available at <url to come>.
