Our analysis determined that Barney Elliott's camera was running at 16 frames per second (fps) and that film loop projectors run at 18 fps. Therefore, projecting the film loop shows the last oscillations before collapse with a period of (5 s) × (16 fps / 18 fps) = (4.4 s), a value in good agreement with the stopwatch observations by Robert Gibbs's students.
