In a recent article, reference is made to a paper of George Green as quoted in the quantum field theory lectures of Sidney Coleman. The article describes Coleman's lectures as thus far unpublished. The purpose of this note is to announce the publication of Coleman's lectures and to provide details for the work cited.
In their illuminating article,1 the authors cite the “famous, yet unpublished, quantum field theory lectures” of Sidney Coleman. We are writing to inform AJP's readers that these lectures have recently been published, under the title Quantum Field Theory: Lectures of Sidney Coleman, World Scientific Publishing, Singapore; we are three of the editors. Coleman's reference to George Green's research cited by McKee and Czarnecki may be found on pp. 205–207 of the Coleman Lectures. Incidentally, Green's collected papers were reissued by the American Mathematical Society in 1970; the relevant paper is G. Green, “Researches on the vibration of pendulums in fluid media,” Trans. R. Soc. Edinburgh 13, 54–63 (1834).
