In October 2010, we published an article in this journal titled “Analysis of a deflating soap bubble” that was based on a project carried out by students at Dickinson College.1 As part of this project, we performed a literature search and found a number of useful articles. Unfortunately, we somehow missed an interesting article titled “High precision pressure measurement with a funnel” that was published in the European Journal of Physics.2 This article describes a similar soap bubble experiment that makes use of a funnel and a digital scale to measure pressure—equipment that is likely to be available in any physics department. We thank Stefano Oss for bringing this article to our attention and apologize for not properly referencing this work in our original paper.
