I have detected a significant numerical error towards the end of my article. In the example given on page 57, hypothetical values were inserted into Eq. (13) to obtain the temperature change for a sample of ideal gas that cools by rapid expansion. The result for the temperature change was quoted as 11 millikelvins. This should have read 110 millikelvins.
