Compatibility of elementary propositions in quantum mechanics is usually defined as the commutativity of the corresponding projectors. It is shown that this is equivalent to the vanishing of interference, the theorem of total probabilities, Bayes’ theorem, indifference to the order of acquisition of information, and the validity of the rule for marginal probabilities
