The chaotic behavior of a simple electronic circuit that exhibits a double scroll attractor at audio frequencies is described. No inductors are used in the circuit. The necessary inductive reactance is implemented as an active inductor composed of resistors, capacitors, and an amplifier. The chaotic behavior of the circuit is verified by computer simulation on a personal computer and by experimental measurements on a circuit breadboard. The simulation and experimental results are shown to agree with each other and with the results of previous investigators.
