A model experiment, which is designed to display graphically by the use of a microcomputer, is proposed. In this model experiment, the direction of a thermal particle colliding with a Brownian particle and the scattering angle of it are determined by using random numbers. Parameters, which are important for determining Brownian motion, such as the mean speed of the thermal particle, can be selected at will, and the experimental results can be graphically displayed moment by monent. A flow chart and a program for the experiment are provided. A means is provided to deepen student’s understanding through mutual dialog between the students and computer.
