The reader is challenged to show, using only Newtonian mechanics, why a device with unbalanced buoyancy forces cannot be a perpetual motion machine. Then, in case they are needed, three sets of clues are given to assist in simplifying and solving the problem. Finally the reader is given a solution that he may compare with his own.
