A method due to Poisson is used to solve a class of problems in classical static field theory. When the field may be written as an infinite sum of contributions due to an array of identical sources, the field may be Fourier analyzed explicitly and its form analytically extended to all space. As an example a detailed calculation is presented for a sequence of current loops.
