A report is given of one open-ended diversified laboratory pattern which capitalizes on three aspects of instruction. In particular, four experiments at the freshman and sophomore levels are described which incorporate prelab viewing of audiovisual aids, open-ended laboratory experiences, and usage, of the low-cost digital computer in both computer assisted instruction and computational modes.
