A small workshop conference was held to consider the development of some experiments in nuclear and particle physics for use in college and university instructional laboratories. Three groups of experiments are outlined: (1) experiments on energy loss of α particles in scintillation and surface-barrier detectors and on measurement of fission fragment energies; (2) γ-γ angular correlation measurements; and (3) muon decay and the use of spark chambers with lower energy particles.
