The new General Radio Strobotac, a stroboscopic tachometer, has been a useful tool for high school science projects and as a teaching aid. In addition to its use for multiflash it can be employed as a single-flash unit, being easily triggered by a beam of light, a sound wave, or by simple contact. The treatment is comprehensive, covering the photography of shock waves, standing waves, splashes, and ripple tank phenomena.
