This paper outlines methods of producing positive electrification, for demonstrations in electrostatics, and modifications in the standard electrophorus suitable for use in humid weather. A short description is given of construction and action of an electrostatic machine with cylindrical elements and the use of a radiotron circuit to demonstrate the importance of shielding sensitive electrical equipment.
